Optical Manufacturing Technician /Final Assembly - Request #37579363

About the role

100% onsite at 5301 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Santa Clara, CA 95051. Day shift Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (PST) with potential overtime expectations. Contract duration: 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and align optics to specification.
• Align and calibrate complex laser systems and optical assemblies.
• Perform functional tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Document testing procedures and report results.
• Transport test and product fixtures weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Work in clean room environments as required.

Required Skills

• AA or AS degree.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in optical test and alignment, including troubleshooting and repair of optical systems.
• Proficiency with optical tools and instruments including autocollimators and Fizeau interferometers.
• Ability to lift heavy tooling up to 40 lbs.
• Strong background working with computers, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documenting, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to work individually and in a team setting with other technicians and engineers.
• Ability to cross-train in a flexible manufacturing cell environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
• Strong understanding of optical principles and systems.
• Knowledge of laser and optics safety standards.

Pay

$27.88/hour – $37.17/hour (W-2).
