About the Role
You will work in the Inventory, Finish, or Surface departments to produce and manufacture corrective eyewear while maintaining productivity, quality, and accuracy of inventory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure productivity of the facility by processing work orders, prioritizing tasks, and managing workload.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning products in and out of departments using system software.
- Sort, place, and store freight or work orders in proper locations; move freight manually.
- Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear in the Finish Department:
- Prepare lenses for production (tracing, blocking, first inspection).
- Produce lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment.
- Manually mount lenses in frames and assemble eyewear.
- Complete cosmetic add-ons (e.g., polish, tint).
- Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear in the Surface Department:
- Prepare lenses for production (layout, taping, blocking).
- Create curvature and thickness of lenses according to prescription using lens grinding equipment.
- Apply hard coating to lenses and prepare for add-ons (e.g., tint, no-glare).
- Maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and evaluate produced work for quality.
- Communicate with Walmart associates and vendors verbally or in writing.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $18.85 - $21.35. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
