Ops Mgr in Training

SPEC Building Materials Corporation is a family-owned wholesale distributor of quality building materials and equipment for commercial and residential roofing contractors, with 35 branch locations across the Midwest, South, and Southeast since 1973. The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed to teach every segment of the business and culture, with the opportunity to run a branch upon successful completion.

Requirements

• Preferably a 4-year BS in Marketing/Sales or Business degree
• Two years of industry or industry-related experience in building materials (home building or remodeling experience a plus)
• Two years of prior management experience, preferably in building material distribution
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Internet
• Knowledge of residential & commercial roofing, residential windows, entry doors, and exterior siding
• Entrepreneurial spirit; self-motivated and enthusiastic about the business
• Excellent customer service, management, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ethical, honest, and dependable
• Current state-issued driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Legally entitled to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a company-required drug test
• Read, speak, and write English to communicate with vendors, customers, and branch employees

Pay

$65,000 – $75,000 per year

Schedule & Location

Full-time, day shift. In-person at 5196 E. 77th Ave, Commerce City, Colorado, United States.
