About the role
As an Operations Management Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a small to medium-sized client or region. This role involves coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization’s goals and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentoring and coaching as needed.
- Prepare ad hoc data reports for revenue, expenses, and other business metrics, evaluating trends to identify opportunities for financial improvement.
- Manage the monthly forecasting process for assigned clients or regions.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, business and professional licensing, real estate law, and state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain data integrity across systems used by the team.
- Partner with regional teams and departments to identify and implement organizational “best practices.”
- Assist with the development of training programs, business processes, and system training programs.
- Facilitate communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to create consistency across the region.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and influencing parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
- Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, whether evident in existing systems and processes or not.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
