Ophthalmology Technician

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Onsite with travel to regional sites required.
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment and patients for ophthalmic testing procedures.
- Assists physicians with performing various ophthalmic testing procedures.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients served, regardless of age.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an approved Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant program preferred.
- Joint Commission on Allied Personnel in Ophthalmology certification or certification-eligible is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, providing direct patient care is required.
- Vision center or ophthalmology experience is preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Schedule
Full-time, 1.0 FTE. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
