About the role
The West Virginia University Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, announces an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal surgeon (ranks available: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation doing business as “University Health Associates,” [etc.] located in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania and, as such, travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites.
Duties
- Practice in Ophthalmology focused on Retina
- Provide excellent patient care
- Teach medical students and ophthalmology residents and fellows
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license
- Candidate must be board certified/eligible in Ophthalmology
- Candidate must have completed a vitreoretinal fellowship
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment
