Ophthalmology Clinical Research Associate

About the role

Piper Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Ophthalmology Clinical Research Associate to support ophthalmic clinical trials and ensure compliance across study activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of ophthalmology clinical trials across multiple study sites.
• Serve as a key point of contact for study teams, sites, and sponsors to ensure smooth communication.
• Ensure trial activities adhere to ICH-GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and study protocols.
• Track study timelines, patient enrollment, and data quality while identifying and addressing risks.
• Assist with site initiation, monitoring visits, and closeout activities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of clinical research experience with exposure to site or sponsor-side trial support.
• Ability to travel to sites 8-10 days on site per month.
• 2+ years of onsite monitoring experience.
• Experience with ophthalmology or ophthalmic studies.
• Working knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial processes.

Pay

$90,000 - $140,000 base salary, depending on experience and level.
