Eye Center of Texas has 6 Board Certified Ophthalmologists and 8 Therapeutic Optometrists across 6 locations. Our nationally renowned physicians, combined with the most advanced medical technology, gives us the opportunity to offer our patients the highest caliber of care. We offer comprehensive medical and surgical care, including laser cataract surgery, LASIK, vision correction, glaucoma, retina and vitreous disease treatments and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ophthalmologist and optometrists by gathering data pertaining to the patient’s ocular health status.
• Perform appropriate clinical tests, drawing on formal education and/or clinical experience that provide a solid understanding of the theory and principles of eye care.
• Review patient charts to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
• Perform testing ordered by the doctor, based on the type of exam scheduled, patient complaint, and/or patient history.
• Act as a medical scribe while the physician
