Ophthalmic Photographer Sr

Summary

Trains and tests staff on imaging skills competencies. Monitors staff and works with supervisor in providing mentorship for skills imaging. Produces publication quality images. Maintains advanced ophthalmic photography skills.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the eye care provider, assists with performing patient care.
• Performs diagnostic testing.
• Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography.
• Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.
• Provides education to students, residents and staff; assists in orienting and mentoring staff.
• Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.
• Manages patient care and assists with patient flow.
• Affords teaching a minimum of 1 course per year to UCHealth Eye Center staff.

Requirements

• Certified Retinal Angiographer
• High School diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Relevant vocational training
• Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA)
• IV certification within 6 months of hire (tracked by the unit)
• Minimum Experience: 5 years' related experience
• Published images in major ophthalmic journals
• Preferred: 10 years of related experience
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date

Pay

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Pay range: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour.

Schedule

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Days.
