Responsibilities

  • Support a high-volume Ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to patients in need of complete eye care services.
  • Customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making are required.
  • Obtaining and documenting patient history
  • Determining visual acuity
  • Performing automated refraction
  • Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician
  • Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
  • Providing patient services
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to other offices as required
  • Must be flexible with traveling to various locations as needed
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
  • Ability to recognize inconsistencies

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Pay

The Pay Range is $19.00- $26.88/Hr. Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Dependent on location and department, this position may require some evening and weekend hours.
