Ophthalmic Assistant

About the role

The Ophthalmic Assistant-Trainee supports Ophthalmic Physicians by providing technical assistance during patient evaluations, treatments, and management of specialized ophthalmic cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and documentation
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist during surgeries
• Manage inventory and supplies in the ophthalmic department
• Provide administrative support as needed

Requirements

• High school education plus additional training in a relevant field preferred
• Experience/training in health care field preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
