About the role
Gailey Eye Clinic has Ophthalmic Assistant positions open at their Springfield clinic. They are seeking candidates who are hardworking, customer service oriented, and interested in ophthalmology. No previous experience is required.
Responsibilities
• Showing patients to examination rooms and conducting pre-exam workups
• Working one-on-one with patients
• Using computer software
• Possessing excellent communication, typing, and spelling skills
• Being able to work independently and effectively in a team setting
• Handling multiple tasks and managing shifting priorities
• Demonstrating compassion and interest when interacting with patients
Qualifications
• No previous experience required
• Paid travel to other Gailey offices in Central Illinois may be necessary

Pay
The starting range for this position is $17.00 - $20.90 per hour, with an additional $0.50 increase upon completion of training. A further $1.00 per hour increase is available once certification (COA) is obtained. Certification can typically be achieved within approximately one year of employment.
