Responsibilities
- Identify, lead, and facilitate continuous improvement projects aligned with PEAK initiatives and site productivity objectives.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Support implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles including standard work, visual management, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping.
- Document and maintain manufacturing process flows, procedures, and operational standards.
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Safety, Quality, Customer Focus, ISO standards, and Continuous Improvement best practices.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify and implement process improvements and equipment optimization initiatives.
- Lead and support equipment trials, process validations, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
- Apply statistical methods, data analysis, and industrial engineering techniques to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
- Create and deliver training materials and programs related to operational excellence, process improvements, and manufacturing systems.
- Support problem-solving activities using structured methodologies such as DMAIC, A3, Fishbone Analysis, and 5 Whys.
- Provide structured and creative analysis to identify operational improvement opportunities and communicate findings effectively to leadership and plant personnel.
- Perform ad hoc operational and productivity analysis as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with project management and process improvement responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems, production processes, automation technologies, and industrial equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Proven ability to identify manufacturing bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational constraints in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process flows, labor utilization, and productivity measurement techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems preferred (SAP, MES, automation controls, etc.).
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, engineering drawings, operating instructions, and technical documents.
- Experience developing and analyzing operational metrics, productivity reporting, and performance dashboards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Self-directed, accountable, hands-on, and results-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence positive change.
