Operator Warehouse Production

Safety-Kleen Systems in Metairie, LA is seeking a Warehouse Production Operator to support daily warehouse and production operations in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage by comparing items to purchase orders or invoices and documenting discrepancies
• Unload and load shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment
• Prepare outgoing shipments and load products onto trucks or containers for delivery
• Maintain accurate inventory records through counting, sorting, organizing, and storing materials in designated locations
• Ensure proper inventory labeling, tracking, and storage procedures are followed
• Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment
• Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse technology to verify inventory and locate materials
• Conduct quality control inspections on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and compliance with company standards
• Inspect products for damage prior to shipment and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Follow FIFO (“First In, First Out”) inventory rotation practices to reduce spoilage and product obsolescence
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment by sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing equipment

Requirements

• 1-3+ years warehouse/manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Pay

Hourly wage range: $16.50–$22.00/HR (per Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (per Collective Bargaining Agreement)

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Pay, schedule, and testing requirements are governed by the union contract.
