The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment can operate a variety of equipment used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate drill equipment on jobsite, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment/Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
- Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Responsible for site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on truck
- Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
- Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers, and at times flagging traffic
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States for this company
- Valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
- MVR record deemed acceptable by the company
- Able to maintain a safe work environment
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Able to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call
- Experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- Able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- Able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
- May have experience with drill set-up and design processes
- Able to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
- May have previous construction or utility construction experience
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening
- Must be able to attend and pass all company-required training
- May be required to travel in-state or overnight as necessary
- Regular and timely attendance is essential
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Duties require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low
- May involve standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping for moderate amounts of time
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, inclement weather, and adverse driving conditions
- Required to lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds regularly
- Exposure to dust, fumes, or other airborne pathogens
- Exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
Pay
The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment hourly wage range is $20.00 - $30.00, depending on experience.
