Operator Telecom Aerial Equipment

We’re looking for an Operator Telecom Construction Equipment to join our team and help connect America. This role involves operating a variety of equipment used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

Pauley Construction is a regional contractor providing infrastructure solutions for the installation and maintenance of utility systems. We offer regional contracting services throughout the Western United States, specializing in full turnkey services for the design, installation, and maintenance of utility infrastructure. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Pauley serves customers across major Western markets, including Arizona, California, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate drill equipment on jobsites, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment/Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer.
• Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up and clean-up.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks.
• Conduct new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers, and at times flagging traffic.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate company equipment or drive company vehicles.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Must pass a background check and company drug screening.
• Must attend and pass all company-required training as needed.
• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
• May be required to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as needed.
• May include working nights and holidays as needed.
• May be required to travel in-state or overnight to meet business and job requirements.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus near and/or far as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience running heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience with drill set-up and design processes is preferred.
• Proficient in using locators to safely identify utilities.
• Able to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.
• Previous construction or utility construction experience is a plus.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Duties require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
• Regularly exposed to standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping while on shift.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, inclement weather (rain, snow, sleet, dust), and adverse driving conditions (wet roads, icy roads, fog).
• May be exposed to dust, fumes, or other airborne pathogens, toxic or corrosive chemicals, and moving machinery parts.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting may be necessary.

Pay

The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment hourly wage range is $20.00 - $35.00, depending on experience.
