Operator Qualifications OQ Specialist

Your role in our success will be to ensure employees are qualified in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements, supporting operational compliance and safe execution of covered tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with supervisors and employees regarding evaluation
• Conduct OQ evaluations in accordance with the company’s OQ plan and regulatory requirements
• Conduct re-qualification of employees when required by the company’s OQ Plan
• Completes evaluation records accurately, completely, and timely
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to employees and management after evaluations
• Demonstrates working knowledge of assigned covered tasks, procedures, and field practices
• Support continuous improvement of the Operator Qualification program, processes, and evaluation methods
• Identifies employee performance deficiencies and knowledge gaps
• Maintain OQ evaluation sites in conjunction with Operations Training

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in the gas industry with a strong background in operations
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of gas operations, including construction, maintenance, and distribution system
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Products and OQ Platforms
• Ability to travel (up to 30%) throughout the service territories
• Ability to work independently
