Operator - Offset Press

Responsibilities

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors press machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
• Completes press machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintains production process by inspecting and testing materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, verifying and tracking all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
• Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
• Ensures workplace organization by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and reporting any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Completes necessary documentation for internal or external use.
• Works effectively with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating press machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, or other written materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
