About the role

Mobile Equipment Operator position is a key position transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Primary operations of haul trucks; water trucks, rock breakers and fuel truck.
• Operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
• Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
• Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustments to material blends as required.
• Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working in varying weather elements.
• Quarry experience preferred.
• Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
• Highly dependable, able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred.
