Operator Lead (Rollforming)

About the role

The Production Lead plays a critical role of the EDCO Products manufacturing team in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations on the manufacturing floor. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of all safety procedures and policies; promote a culture of safety.
• Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen) to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of production team members on assigned shift or production area.
• Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, scrap, and other key metrics.
• Communicate shift hand-off details and collaborate with other leads/supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor production hour-by-hour charts and address issues in a timely manner
• Daily hour-by-hour data entry on Safety, Quality and Delivery board.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Prior leadership or team lead experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practices
• Ability to lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or coursework preferred.
