Operator I - WW
The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Operator I in the Wastewater Department. The incumbent performs work necessary to operate the Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), lift stations, and performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
High school graduate or G.E.D. required.
Specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area (e.g., data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation), plus prior experience preferred.
Must obtain Class "D" Wastewater certification from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality within one year of employment. Class "C" certification required within the second year of employment.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable.
This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol screening.
Starting Salary: $18.5165/hr. with benefits.
