Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliation of the County’s payroll and disbursement accounts to the general ledger.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Reconcile returned checks to bank statement and prepare monthly journal voucher.
- Set up new journal voucher log used by the Department for tracking/recording all journal entries.
- Prepare work papers to assist in CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report) reporting.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with major course work in accounting, or equivalent.
- A background investigation is required.
- One year of related or equivalent experience in governmental accounting preferred.
- Two years of general ledger accounting experience preferred.
