Operator I

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities.
• Independently operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding processing, quality, and safety requirements.
• Utilize waste-water laboratory equipment effectively.
• Use computer programs for process control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Some experience in a related position and work environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (operational, process, safety, and quality instructions).
• Basic mathematical calculations ability.
• Ability to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.

Physical Requirements

• Standing 35% of the time.
• Walking 25% of the time, for as many as three miles per shift.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Talk or hear.
• Stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Enter confined spaces.
• Use ladders or stairs.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds).
