Full Time / Non-Exempt position within the Flowback business unit, reporting to the Operations Manager. Travel is required.

About the role

Peak’s Flowback Operator monitors and reports on production and well information, maintains production equipment, and ensures quality control and safe operations. This position prepares and submits daily reports on gas/liquid volume, well pressure, and chemical usage.

Responsibilities

  • Must have field experience and be competent in the use and repair of manifolds, plug catchers, test separators, sand traps, flare stacks, and other flowback/well testing equipment.
  • Learn and fulfill all job service requirements, including reporting well production data, incident reporting, and job-specific information.
  • Draft thorough and accurate JSAs (Job Safety Analyses) identifying tasks, hazards, and mitigation steps.
  • Observe all safety rules, including maintaining clean and hazard-free workspaces (including vehicles).
  • Act as a team player, effectively receiving guidance and feedback.
  • Update JSAs consistently as situations change.
  • Understand customer downhole goals and impacts from well testing decisions.
  • Report accurate hourly data (or as required by the customer).
  • Communicate and annotate detailed shift changes.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in rigging up/down test equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for jobs and load out.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Energy service experience is helpful.
  • Ability to be a strong team player.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive a company vehicle per Peak’s insurance guidelines.

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions (rain, extreme cold/heat, high wind, ice, snow, humidity).
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, dust, and noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs individually.
