About the role

Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment globally, with a growing presence in the commercial pool market. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment, including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control, and energy solutions. This role involves performing repetitive workstation or line-assembly operations to produce swimming pool heaters or assemble components for installation on the heater assembly line, including work at sub-assembly work cells.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
  • Operate a press brake to bend or form parts as needed.
  • Adjust, trim, and fit parts to close tolerances.
  • Follow visual aids (standard work) to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform testing of assembled products.
  • Prepare cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, and seal finished products.
  • Meet efficiency rates and perform quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
  • Work within all safety guidelines and wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses).
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors or team leaders.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment (5S).
  • Rotate job assignments within various work cells as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervision.

Schedule

5:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Thursday, with overtime as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
  • Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
  • Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 90% of the shift.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of simple hand tools.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to vibration and moving mechanical parts.
  • Loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Frequent standing and continuous use of hands to handle tools or objects.
  • Required PPE: steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
