Operator - I

PRIMARY FUNCTION

This position is responsible for the set up and operation of various machines to produce quality parts based on pre-determined specifications.

Essential Functions

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece or setup requirements.
• Sets up, starts, and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and troubleshoots or adjusts machine controls as required.
• Operates a variety of machines as directed by supervisor or lead.
• Completes changeovers and material feed-through.
• Completes first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists.
• Uses gauges and calipers to inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR.
• ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours.
• Able to lift to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
