Operator I (3rd Shift)

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Operator I for the 3rd shift (11 PM – 7 AM).

Pay

$21.07 per hour. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manually fed punch press equipment within the Fabrication department while complying with all safety policies and procedures
• Perform job duties following Eaton Quality standards and systems
• Fabricate parts according to drawings, routings, and work instructions; determine necessary parts and fixtures; obtain material from stock areas
• Set and adjust fabrication materials and equipment; perform quality checks using measuring equipment and/or templates
• Cross-train in other areas of the department and train new-hire operators on operating presses
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton’s 5S procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Lift up to 40 pounds and stand throughout the working shift; work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must not be on a written or final written warning
• Minimum of 6 months service time in current role before moving to a new role

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a press
• Experience working with precision-measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, tape measures)
• Experience with SAP computer systems
• Ability to interpret drawings and/or blueprints
• Ability to troubleshoot operations equipment
