Operator, Gen Service-DOTH

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Operation of the Truck Wash Station as per written procedures.
• Prepare all trailers for loading per loading procedure and fill out the loading paperwork.
• Supply plant departments with necessary raw materials and packaging items.
• Perform routine and non-routine cleaning inside and outside the facility as required by the department master cleaning schedule and/or the General Service Supervisor or Lead Operator.
• Maintain the warehouse and cooler keeping each location clean and orderly.
• Document, inspect, and unload materials as per written procedures.
• Assist other departments with cleaning or production functions.
• Cross train into other departments as necessary.

Secondary Duties

• Special projects as directed by General Services Manager, Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to operate cleaning equipment and supplies such as vacuum, mop, and floor scrubber.
• Requires ability to operate forklift.
• Requires ability to prioritize and organize tasks, and follow through to ensure completion of assignments.
• Communication skills and customer service skills needed in relationships with coworkers, management and other departments within the company.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Requires ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, follow through on assigned tasks, and communicate issues to supervisor.

Education And/or Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Reasoning Abilities

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
• Sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Constantly exposed to noise levels that are usually loud.
