Operator, Forklift-3rd Shift

Starting hourly rate: $20.64/hr. 3rd shift receives a $0.45/hr shift differential. Medical insurance is offered through Local Union 152.

About the role

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based in Seabrook, New Jersey. The Forklift Operator loads and unloads finished goods, raw materials, and ingredients from trailers using a forklift and the inventory control system (QAD/RF scanning) to track all movements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to load and unload finished goods.
• Load trucks using the Bill of Lading (BOL) and follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Tag and store finished products from production lines safely, efficiently, and in an orderly manner.
• Communicate all shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Use RF scanners to capture all movements and QAD for tag edits.
• Ensure product rotation by shipping the oldest product first, using pick sheets to assist and reporting any discrepancies.
• Maintain product quality through proper rotation, correct tagging, and preventing damage in the warehouse. Handle damaged products under the clean-as-you-go program.

Requirements

• One (1) year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This role requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

• Frequent: Talking, hearing, standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using hands/fingers to operate machinery and equipment. Exposure to wet/humid conditions and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
• Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, wearing a dust mask, and performing confined entry using the LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
• Vision: Ability to use close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision (with or without correction). Must visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment with high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
• Hearing: Ability to hear in the normal audio range (with or without correction). Exposure to noise from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
