Responsibilities

  • Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery.
  • Enter data into ERP system to monitor overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform equipment start-up, shut-down, and preventive maintenance.
  • Sample and monitor product quality and make modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance as they occur.
  • Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Print & Mail Production Background
  • Familiarity with print workflows, mailpiece formats (letters, flats, postcards), and USPS postal regulations.
  • Machine Operation Experience setting up and running high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders).
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, or alignment issues. Operators often adjust rollers, knives, perforators, or sensors on the fly.
  • Quality Control Checking for print defects, alignment, correct collation, and address readability. Operators must ensure mailpieces meet postal automation standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Starting at $20/hr based on skills and experience

Schedule

5p - 5a Thu, Fri, Sat every other Wed with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory
