Operator - Bag Machine

About the role

Safley sets up, operates, and monitors bag machinery and equipment to meet customer and production goals.

Responsibilities

• Complete bag machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
• Verify and track all materials for inventory and work-in-progress regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
• Train and provide guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
• Maintain machinery and surrounding areas by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
• Complete all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
• Collaborate with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address potential issues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
