ASSA ABLOY branded company Ameristar Perimeter Security USA is seeking an Operator for tube mill operations in Tulsa, OK.

About the role

This weekend position operates and maintains the tube mill to ensure continuous production during the shift.

Schedule

Friday – Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety, quality, and operational continuity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S principles.
• Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill setups.
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on process equipment.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
• Conduct visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
• Minimize scrap and work with maintenance to resolve issues promptly.
• Document downtime using a seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure continuous mill flow and proper product tagging.
• Adapt to schedule changes and mill conditions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities as a valued team member.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience using special measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, tape measure).
• Ability to read OEM setup charts and interpret them for roll tooling adjustments.
• Skill in changing cut-off jaws, blades, and refilling oil levels of equipment.
• Ability to meet negotiated scheduling time frames.
• Strong communication skills to support mill flow and material handling.
• Ability to think and react quickly to mill conditions and schedule changes.
