Operator Associate (D shift)

Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machines at required rate
- Start and stop machines
- Perform maintenance tasks including but not limited to changing hoses, valves, molds, and machine parts
- Monitor all machinery operations and bagging equipment operations continuously for quality and efficiencies
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical machine problems; make adjustments to correct issues and maintain run rates
- Perform necessary line adjustments to maintain and/or improve product quality
- Maintain run efficiencies established for the line and products
- Perform quality checks at prescribed intervals
- Perform material tasks related to the pre-expansion area
- Perform tasks related to baggers and automation
- Complete paperwork including Operator Report, Quality Checks, and other required forms
- Promptly communicate to supervisor any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality, and efficiencies
- Maintain housekeeping around assigned line
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
- Assist other operators
- Communicate production information both written and verbal
- Perform all other assigned duties
Requirements
- Machine operator experience or equivalent maintenance/mechanical experience
- Demonstrated mechanical experience
- Good communication skills—written and verbal
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to use tools as required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Manual dexterity
- Excellent communication skills
- Detailed record keeping per prescribed frequency
- Hand/eye coordination
- Analytical skills
- Math skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
- Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues
- Understanding of production measurement tools such as level, etc.
- Knowledge of product quality standards
- Principles of Thermoforming machines
Pay
Starting rate $20.27 - $22.63/hour depending on experience (Shift Differential for nights: $1.50).
Schedule
7:00pm – 7:00am (D Shift).
