Job Duties
- Aids in rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment.
- Assists in pre-mixing of spacer fluids and setting up appropriate data monitoring equipment.
- Operates and assists in the operation of various equipment such as cement pumping and mixed equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery, and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and related paperwork/reporting.
- Ensures correct valve line-ups on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment.
- Understands and adheres to hazardous materials, job, wash-up, and discharge procedures.
- Completes I-Learn courses: Cementing II and Service Tools I.
- Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
- Complies with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Promotes and actively participates in quality improvement processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-6 months of experience as an Operator Asst-Cementing I.
- Class A CDL license required.
- Effective communication skills necessary.
Skills
- Basic oil well operations knowledge (pipe capacities, volume/height math, plug landing pressures, absolute volumes, hydrostatic and differential pressure, resulting forces, balanced plugs, bulk cement blending calculations).
- Understanding of hazardous materials and job-specific procedures.
- Ability to operate and assist in the operation of various cementing and related equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
- Compliance with HSE regulations and guidelines.
- Participation in quality improvement processes.

Pay
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Sign-on bonus is subject to certain conditions and approvals by area leadership.
