Operator 1, Molding

Pay

$16.50 per hour

Schedule

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off (3-2-2-3 schedule including weekends)

Responsibilities

• Stack boxes and totes, bag material, and print labels
• Mold production in assigned area and perform minor maintenance activities on assigned presses
• Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components, including inspection of components and requesting technical support to maintain part quality
• Conduct minor maintenance activities on assigned presses
• Work with other molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and call-outs
• Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufacture product conforming to quality specifications at rated output
• Operate injection molds/presses and place surplus molded components into inventory
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products produced in the department, raw materials required, and product quality specifications
• Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly, complying with GMP requirements
• Perform thorough product inspections and make appropriate decisions relative to product quality requirements
• Work effectively in a team with limited supervision
• Familiarize with all relevant controlled documents (work instructions, forms, preventative maintenance task lists, and equipment manuals) pertaining to operation of all equipment in the cell

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Pass an eye exam
• Steel toe or composite shoes required
• Candidate can start while background checks are pending, but must clear all criminal background checks
• No drug screening required for this job assignment
