Operator 1 (3rd Shift)

About the role

Reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends. Signs off on safety commitments. Personal Protective Equipment Required Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.

Responsibilities

• Keep machines clean and in good running condition.
• Keeps accurate records of carton/film usage, downtime and jam ups.
• Clears up jams in a timely manner.
• Follows proper safety measures.
• Keeps cartons/film loaded correctly during production.
• Makes sure packers receive a pouch of the new code.
• Verbally communicates new code to packers.
• Lets inspectors know when they can load a new code on the line.
• Knows code requirements and is able to change codes on printer.
• Checks cartons/pouches immediately after code changes.
• Compares pouch code to carton code and checks for proper glue.
• Notifies mechanic of all machine problems.
• Unloads cartons/film and cleans machine at end of shift.
• Routinely checks glue pots, ink bottles, or ink pads.
• Monitors line processing and completes required paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills.
• Carries out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift 60-75 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to
