Operative Service Assistant - 2nd shift

Duties

• Assist in daily activities of surgical services including, but not limited to the operating room, special procedure rooms, PACU, and day surgery.
• Housekeeping duties within the Operating Rooms.
• Instrument processing and inventory and stocking duties.
• Cleaning and maintenance of Operating Room equipment.
• Assisting patients, family members and/or visitors with movement from inpatient floors and throughout surgical services.

Requirements

• High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
• Requires the level of technical knowledge normally acquired through completion of high school.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required.
• Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems.
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.

Hours

Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm, includes a weekend and holiday rotation.
