What You Will Do
- Monitor, assess, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in OT environments, including ICS, DCS, and PLC systems.
- Coincide OT Intrusion Detection Software (IDS) site implementation and manage consultant deliverables.
- Administer Claroty and similar monitoring software; escalate IDS alerts to stakeholders and assist with remediation.
- Implement and maintain OT cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and related frameworks.
- Conduct OT risk assessments, threat modeling, and gap analyses for OT assets and networks.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate response efforts with relevant teams.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing while ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Support design and maintenance of network segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, and other OT security controls.
- Aid with audits, compliance reporting, and documentation for standards such as NERC CIP, SOX, and ISO 27001.
- Maintain OT asset inventory and documentation of system configurations and cybersecurity controls.
- Stay current with emerging OT/ICS security threats and technologies.
What You Need To Have
- A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in manufacturing shop floor environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced operational environments.
- Collaboration with Plant Managers to align security activities with scheduled maintenance outages and production cycles.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as needed for system implementation and support (up to 25-50%).
- Experience implementing compensating controls for legacy systems that cannot be patched or upgraded.
- Experience managing security requirements with third-party automation vendors and OEMs (Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.).
- Preferred but not required: 3+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 1–2 years in OT or ICS environments.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, BACnet).
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, and MITRE ATT&CK for ICS.
- Hands-on experience with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and asset discovery tools.
- Knowledge and support of device networking and manufacturing systems.
- Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GRID, or Security+.
- ICS515 (ICS Visibility, Detection, and Response), ICS612: (ICS Cybersecurity In-Depth).
