Operations Technician Nightshift

Potters Industries in Muscatine, IA is seeking qualified candidates for a Furnace / Grinding Operator position on the night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). Base pay starts at $21.84 per hour with an additional $1.00 per hour night premium.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate furnace and grinding equipment to meet quality and production goals.
• Safely operate plant vehicles, including forklifts and front-end loaders, in support of production activities.
• Perform basic analytical testing to confirm material quality in processes.
• Interpret analytical data and adjust processes to maintain quality output.
• Monitor product levels within process equipment and record data in a computer database and paper logs.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform basic maintenance of the production area.
• Participate in all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities, including monthly plant audits, accident investigations, and Hazard IDs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to work any day of the week.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a dust-filtering respirator when needed for housekeeping.
• Forklift and front-end loader operational experience.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.

Pay

$21.84 per hour base pay + $1.00 per hour night premium.
