About the role

The Role at Lumen is dedicated to providing high-speed internet and network services to businesses and consumers. We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  • Implement and configure network security protocols and firewalls.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a network management role.
  • Proficiency in network administration tools such as Cisco IOS, Windows Server, and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, VLANs, and routing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Nagios.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Skills

  • Technical proficiency in network management and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
