Operations Technician I

Overview

We are seeking an Operations Technician I who will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operations of our data center facilities. This position is ideal for a novice, IT professional who is eager to get hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-tech environment. Responsibilities

• Assist in the Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
• Provide remote smart hands support for customer advanced issues/concerns.
• Monitor and respond to alerts related to power, cooling, and network performance.
• Perform regular facility security and operational walk-throughs for issue identification, reporting and documentation.
• Follow Method of Procedures (MOP) for equipment & cabling maintenance.
• Escalate critical incidents to senior engineers or management when needed.
• Proactively manage ticket queue for timely request response and completion.
• React to alarms promptly and escalate any urgent or unresolved issues to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment changes, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School degree or equivalent.
• Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.
• Prior experience particularly in the data center industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in controlled environments and handle physical tasks such as lifting hardware or navigating confined spaces.

Shift Work

Availability for on-call duties and occasional shift work, including nights and weekends, as required by the data center’s operational needs.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.91 - $29.87
