Operations Technician I

About the role

The Operations Technician I position is an entry-level role within HI-LEX America's operations department. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Fork truck driving
• Possess listening and learning skills
• Good communication skills for personal and company growth
• Loading, unloading, and tracking of shipments
• Promote an associate relations environment aligned with long-term management objectives
• Possess a mechanical background
• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Functional experience:
• Fork truck basic knowledge
• Prior construction experience helpful
• Basic working knowledge with computers (PLEX experience helpful)
• Organizational skills
• Two years' experience in automotive or manufacturing industry preferred

Core Competencies

• Safe and certified fork truck operation
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and shipment tracking
• Basic mechanical aptitude with foundational understanding of electricity and measuring equipment
• Able to follow instructions and demonstrate strong listening and learning skills
• Basic computer proficiency (PLEX experience preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to promote a positive team environment
