Operations Support Specialist

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an Operations Support Specialist for a Life Science client in Rahway, NJ. This role manages supply inventory, purchase orders, monthly expense reporting, A/R, A/P, and supply ordering. The specialist will manage lab coat and PPE inventory across the full campus, order materials for the GXP team, and provide support with GMP and non‑GMP cleaning operations as needed. In this exciting role you’ll support seamless day‑to‑day operations by serving as a central point of coordination for service requests and issue resolution, working across teams and partners to keep systems, services, and communications running efficiently while delivering a reliable, professional support experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries and service requests.
• Manage and track work order tickets through CMMS for building systems and services.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
• Review vendor activity and product documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Analyze recurring issues and support process improvements to enhance operations.
• Maintain accurate records, updates, and communications across multiple systems.
• Deliver consistent, professional customer support while handling a high volume of requests.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.

Skills

• Experience supporting operational workflows or service coordination in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear, professional communication style used to guide customers, teams, and vendors.
• Organized approach to managing multiple requests, priorities, and follow‑ups.
• Familiarity with electronic systems, ticketing platforms, or CMMS tools.
• Collaborative mindset focused on problem resolution and service excellence.

Pay

$32.41 per hour – $41.94 per hour
