Location: 2 Broadway - MTA Headquarters (on-site). This position requires full-time, in-office work; remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding support.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source and engage qualified candidates through multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, and recruitment events.
- Conduct resume reviews, phone screens, and candidate evaluations to identify qualified candidates for hiring manager consideration.
- Coordinate and participate in interview panels, ensuring a structured and positive candidate experience.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with HR partners and hiring managers during the offer process, including salary recommendations and start date coordination.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Manage recruitment activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
- Support recruitment outreach efforts, including career fairs, networking events, and university partnerships.
- Generate recruitment reports and metrics to track progress and support hiring decisions.
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles.
- Strong sourcing experience using platforms such as LinkedIn and online recruiting databases.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or other HRIS platforms.
Nine years of relevant experience.
