Operations Supervisor PIT

About the role

The ACAA's Operations Supervisor will report to the Airport Duty Manager and is responsible for ensuring airport safety, operational readiness, and compliance with local standards and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain airfield and terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant activities.
• Conduct airfield inspections in compliance with Title 14 CFR Part 139 standards.
• Support the Airport Duty Manager (ADM) with operations, construction coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform terminal and grounds inspections, including concessions, parking lots, and parking garage facilities.
• Inspect runways, taxiways, ramps, concourses, cargo, and customs areas for operational hazards and changing conditions.
• Cookordination NOTAMs and airfield condition reporting through the FAA NOTAM Manager.
• Cookordinate VIP, charter, AIR EVAC, and other special operations with airport stakeholders.
• Manage gate assignments, ground control activities, and operational systems.
• Respond to, document, and resolve operational incidents and issues.
• Cookordinate with FAA Air Traffic Control on activities affecting the Air Operations Area (AOA).
• Prepare and oversee daily operational logs, reports, and shift documentation.
• Implement emergency response procedures and monitor weather-related airfield conditions.
• Troubleshoot operational systems, including FIDS, jet bridges, baggage systems, and APCs.
• Recommend process improvements and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university in Aviation Management or related field; or Associate's degree and Two-Three (2-3) years related experience.
• Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver's license.
