Operations Supervisor, Energy Vertical

Overview

The Operations Supervisor, Energy Vertical, is responsible for performance management and professional development of the International department. The role involves training and developing employees, managing relationships with international service providers, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff assignment distribution, reporting and absences
• Maintain and ensure safety culture and quality standards
• Execute all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), KPI’s, trainings, and all other assignments
• Conduct quarterly audits and reviews with all direct reports
• Set employee goals, ensuring conformity to company standards and ensuring high standards from their employees and division
• Develop the skills and competence of staff through training, coaching and on the job development
• Provide leadership and management of the international accounts
• Operate the office when the manager is absent
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates Degree related field or equivalent to 7 years in industry
• 5-7 years’ work experience in International Freight Forwarding industry
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory position
• Energy and/or oil & gas sector logistics experience required
• IATA certified, DG certification desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
• Ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment
• High standards in quality and service level agreements
