Schedule
The shift is from 10:00pm to 6:30am, Sunday to Friday.
Scope of the Role
- Supervise 20-40 Manufacturing and Packaging employees on multiple production lines or in a Manufacturing suite and across shifts.
- Assign tasks and adjust workloads to meet production goals, schedules, and monitor training.
- Maintain production quality, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
- Support, practice, and lead a safe environment and culture for the team.
- Coach and develop the team to increase trust, engagement, and retention.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports diversity and enables authenticity.
- Test or evaluate process changes and recommend their implementation or rejection.
- Supervise ongoing or special maintenance or installation projects and work with engineering staff to select or evaluate new equipment.
- Participate in capacity or budget planning, gather, and evaluate information, and make and present recommendations to the plant manager or other management staff.
- Support the PWS process, including RedZone tracking system to measure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Edit and approve payroll, including sick and vacation time, ensuring timely payments.
- Perform disciplinary actions, including writing up the disciplinary letter and meeting with the shop steward to present the letter to the employee.
Experience Required
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, or a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including well-developed communication, performance management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas.
- Previous experience working in an FDA-regulated industry preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
