Operations Supervisor (1st shift)

About the role

The Operations Supervisor manages team workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a liaison between employees and upper management. Supervisors also provide coaching and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
• Follow established operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
• Maintain attendance and tardiness records.
• Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain associate skills at desired levels.
• Coordinate vacations, payroll, time sheets, complaints, and associate concerns regarding productivity and quality of work.
• Oversee associates.
• Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food-grade warehouse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with some college-level study required.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
• Inventory experience a plus.
• Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus.

Pay

Attractive annual salary of $78,250 plus bonus, based on experience, skills, and education.
