Operations Staff | Part-Time | IUP

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in converting the Arena from one function to another (e.g., basketball to concerts, theater, meetings, and other types of functions).
• Affords assistance in converting conference rooms from one function to another (e.g., conferences, banquets, meetings and other types of functions).
• Fulfills tasks such as setting up and breaking down stages, seating, tables, conference rooms, etc.
• Performs light cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety precautions and emergency procedures established at the facility.
• Reports any safety and damage concerns to the Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
• Strong attention to detail and follow through with a “can do” attitude.
• The employee must frequently move and/or lift 50 lbs. (some heavier lifts are team lifts).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
