About the role
The Operations Staff perform the setup and changeover of the arena on an event-to-event basis to ensure complete adherence to the event schedule as well as tenant contractual specifications and requirements. The role also assists with cleaning the arena to help maintain the building's cleanliness. Under general supervision, this position performs work needed to clean, maintain, and prepare the facility for events. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, often requiring heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion. Overnight hours can be expected on occasion.

The Bank of Oklahoma Center, also known as the BOK Center, is located downtown and serves as the premier sports and entertainment venue of the greater Tulsa region. Offering a 19,199-seat multi-purpose arena and 565,000 total square feet, it is designed to accommodate concerts, family shows, and other special events. The BOK Center has been named one of the country's best venues on multiple occasions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events, including setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
- Perform various duties to ensure day-to-day operations of the facility are met, such as loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to the proper disposal area, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, and replacing filters.
- Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair, and maintenance of the building.
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to the supervisor.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Exhibit willingness to work a flexible schedule consisting of nights and weekends, with shifts regularly occurring overnight.
- Work effectively in a heavily team-based environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Be reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual.
- Regularly lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies.
- Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and their uses.
